Shipping Policy

Thank you for your order with Studio by RFP. As each piece is built to order, our shipping process is designed to ensure your new furniture arrives safely and efficiently. This policy outlines our procedures for shipping within Canada and the United States.
1. Production & Processing Time
Please note that our process includes two distinct phases:

Production Lead Time: As a made-to-order studio, every piece has a production lead time before it is ready to ship. This lead time varies by product and will be clearly communicated on the product page and in your order confirmation.

Order Processing (Post-Production): Once production is complete, please allow 2–5 business days for your item to undergo final inspection, professional packaging, and be prepared for shipment.
All processing occurs Monday–Friday, excluding Canadian statutory holidays. Once your order has been dispatched from our facility, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Estimates

Standard Ground Shipping (Smaller Items): For accessories and smaller decor items, we offer standard ground shipping. Estimated delivery is 5–10 business days after your order has shipped.

Freight & White-Glove Delivery (Furniture & Large Items): All furniture and oversized items are shipped via specialized freight carriers to ensure their protection. Our White-Glove service includes:

Delivery to your room of choice.

Unpacking and basic assembly of the item.

Removal of all packaging debris.

The freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are based on the item’s size, weight, destination, and selected service level. The final cost will be displayed for your review before you complete your purchase.
4. Cross-Border Shipments (Canada <> USA)

Duties, Taxes & Brokerage Fees: For orders shipped across the Canada-U.S. border, the recipient is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees. These charges are determined by the destination country’s customs agency and are not included in the shipping cost paid to Studio by RFP.

Customs Delays: We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by customs clearance processes.
5. Receiving Your Delivery & Damage Policy
It is critical that you inspect your order upon arrival. Please follow these procedures, which align with our Returns Policy:

Visible Damage at Delivery: If you notice any visible damage to the packaging or item, you must note the damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt (Bill of Lading) before signing. You may also refuse the delivery if the damage is severe. Please contact us at

Concealed Damage: If you discover damage after unpacking, you must notify us with photos and a description within 14 days of the delivery date.
If these steps are followed, Studio by RFP will handle the claim with the carrier and arrange for a repair, replacement, or other appropriate remedy.
6. Customer Responsibilities

Access: The customer is responsible for confirming that furniture items can fit through all access points, including doorways, hallways, stairwells, and elevators. Access issues are not grounds for a return.

Scheduled Delivery: For freight deliveries, an adult must be present to receive, inspect, and sign for the shipment at the scheduled time.
7. Order Tracking
Once your order ships, your confirmation email will include a tracking number and a link to the carrier’s website. You can monitor your shipment’s progress at any time.
